Day 37

This morning I woke up at around 8:00 and got ready to go to Austria in Context. I arrived early but that was in order to be able to make my ritual peppermint tea for class. We reviewed the basic topics that we had gone over in the last week's class and then created posters for out meeting with the students from the Vienna Business school next week. They'll be traveling to America so it's our job as the ones with the insider information to give them a good, accurate view of America.

Class got done around 11:40 and I immediately headed to the Straßenbahn stop. I took it to the U2 and took the U2 to Karlsplatz, because I was meeting a mutual friend Suzanne Preston at the American Institute where she teaches. I was a bit late due to some confusion on the location, but eventually found where the Institute was. I went inside and met Suzanne. She had a quick 10 minutes meeting to attend to so I found a table in the common area and read up about the Institute.

Once her meeting was done, Suzanne and I talked for probably about an hour if not more. It was good to finally establish a connection besides the ones that I have with Ruth and Michaela. Afterwards I headed back to the Institute to get my things ready for the Literature class at 5:30. That meant that I had a little free time on my hands. For a time I played the piano, perused through Facebook, and watched the latest episode of Glee. Yes, I still watch it when I have the chance...

When 5:30 rolled around everyone went into the classroom and we stayed there until 8:00. We got our assignment of reading a short story for next week. My only worry is that it doesn't look very short. Oh well... Afterwards, I headed home and cleaned up my desk. It had become a bit of a mess with disorganized papers and clothes, but I put away the clothes and organized the papers into neat piles and now I am actually using my desk!

Before I head to bed I know that I have to get some homework done so that if I want to go out this weekend I can actually do so without feeling guilty. I think that I'll head to the University library tomorrow around lunch time. I'll have my Britain at War class in the same building so it'll be a good place for me to get some work done and it'll give me time to figure out where my class is! All in all though it should be a good day. Today was good, but near the end I got tired and (sadly) I slipped back into speaking English for a bit, but tomorrow is a fresh new day without any mistakes and I'm excited!
